Rain Showers....

We finally had our first big rain yesterday after months of surviving under unusual summer heat of 35-42C. Rain...what a wonderful gift from above!

Though nature has it, it's still up to God when to give showers of rain to us. It is in His great mercy and love that we have rain in due season. I am thankful for every drop of it.

 Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime;
it is the LORD who makes the storm clouds.
He gives showers of rain to men,
and plants of the field to everyone.
 Zechariah 10:1

As the rain and the snow
       come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
       without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11

What are you thankful for this week? Let's count our blessings together.

Oh Ruth I don't know how you can bear such heat! I would be so miserable in that. We get probably too much rain here! A happy medium would suit me just fine. I am thankful that you did get some rain though and some respite from the heat and also that we have had a lot of sunshine in recent days! (Back to rain today though!) xxoo
