Weekend Reflection

The night's rain filled the vat.
The morning sunshine made the outer part dry.
Time stilled the water, clearly reflecting the sky.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

Adopt the pace of nature:  her secret is patience.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone,
but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars.

Oh it looks so still it's almost as if you could climb right into a different world.

Welcome to the Reflection meme. I hope you enjoy your time here among us. I do like your reflection of the clouds in the vat. What is the vat normally used for?

Wonderful! It reminds me of Galadriel's basin in my favorite Lord of the Rings. ;)

To Julie:
The vats are for collecting rain water for household use. In my case, I use the water for watering my garden :-)

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

You almost want to "skry" the future in this reflection.

I am enraptured by the culturally-rich, interesting, thrilling, enriching things that you and your family share on a such a regular basis.
The colors, textures, tastes, sounds, and sights of your host country are simply amazing! Your children are SO blessed to be sharing their love for Christ and their strong family ties with so many others in your community! And how blessed the children in your program are to be taught by someone as wonderful as you, Ruth.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos.

" I read your blog in my office ."  Those words came as a beautiful tune and set my heart to dancing. My Pa reads my blog. Ha...
