A Week That Was

Sunday - July 11, 2010
After the girls' dance lesson, we went out for dinner and play. We tried a Vietnamese restaurant but promised not to go back again. The food was okay but they have hidden charges aside from what is on menu.

Monday - July 12, 2010
The girls are into gardening as part of their Practical Arts lesson, aside from crocheting. We went our to shop for seeds potted plants and garden soil. I'm hoping one of then will pick this as a hobby.

Tuesday - July 13, 2010
Our Reading program is almost done. I'm so blessed to see friendships forming among the students. Also very happy that we were able to purchase proper tables and chairs for our classroom. God answers prayer!

We're now planning for our next program. Help pray for volunteers.

Wednesday - July 14, 2010
DH and I went to the local wet market to buy crabs. He cooked a special dinner for us. It's always a treat when he does that!

Thursday - July 14, 2010
There was a passing storm. We were on the road when heavy rain started to pour. I prayed hard as DH drove. The water on the road was deep.

Friday - July 16, 2010
I was trying to find rest amid daily routine. A blogger-friend advised me to eat raw unprocessed food. I was blessed to have a man selling fresh fruit in his cart outside our gate.

Saturday - July 17, 2010
I worked almost half day in the garden. I pulled out all my zinnias to give the soil a little rest and then plant new ones. This is my last bunch of zinnias. It's good to bring the freshness of the gaden inside the house.
DH and I baked wheat bread. It's good to have fresh home-baked bread on the table. But it's also good to be reminded that man does not live on bread alone...

I thank the Lord for the week that passed. All needs were met as He promised.

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4

Wow! Sounds like you had a wonderful and blessed week with all those neat activities! :) I am thankful that the rain storm did not leave you nor other famiilies in your neighborhood in a flood zone.

Anyway, I really enjoyed viewing your photographs. Thank you for sharing. :)
